Should I try to get an acoustic guitar or keep my electric guitar and use the acoustic setting on my amp?

September 25th, 2009

I have a Fender Statocaster and a Roland Micro Cube amp which has an acoustic setting on it which sounds like a acoustic but not excactly. I was wondering if getting an acoustic guitar would be worth it when I could just switch my amp to acoustic mode. Thanks.

First of all nice amp, I have one of those myself.
Ok, a fender stratocaster probably won’t give you an authentic acoustic sound even with a really good amp. I would definitly get an electric acoustic guitar if I was in your position.

Get the accoustic guitar, the sound difference is very much worth it.

Me, I’ve been playing guitar since I was ten, and since then I’ve owned five guitars.
